We are continuing our terrific
Scrip program!! Scrip is our year-round fundraising program and costs you
nothing extra to participate.
What is Scrip? Scrip means “substitute money” in the
form of gift cards and gift certificates. These are the same cards and
certificates that you would purchase if you went to each of the retailers
yourself. The only catch is if you purchase them through our Scrip program,
then GEMS receives a percentage of what you order from the retailer. And
again, the great part is that it costs you nothing extra. You get
dollar for dollar. And you save by not having to drive all over town to
purchase the cards and certificates. It’s a win-win situation!!
You can help raise money for GEMS by purchasing gift
cards and gift certificates for things you would normally buy anyways (i.e.,
food, clothing, entertainment, and even gas!) Look on the order form to see
what percentage of your dollars will go towards GEMS.
- Orders are generally due on the 2nd and 4th
Mondays (by 2:30pm) of each month. The orders will usually be back to you
on Friday.
- Order can be given to your child’s teacher, or
placed in the Scrip mailbox in the teacher’s lounge.
- Orders can be paid by check or money orders payable
to GEMS PTO. A $25 fee will be assessed for returned checks.
- Parents have the choice to have the Scrip order
returned to their child or to come in and pick it up from the front
office. (See the back of the order form for more information.)
- Order forms are available in the front office and
will be sent out to all students from time to time.

Scrip, please feel free to email the GEMS Scrip coordinator, Donna Rothe, at
